Garfield Ave. Stabbing Under Investigation
New London Police believe incident to be one of family violence
The New London Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred on Garfield Ave. this morning.
Deputy Chief Peter Reichard said a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the chest at about 8:38 a.m. at 151 Garfield Ave. Reichard said the man is being treated at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and the injury is not considered life-threatening.
Reichard said police believe the incident is one of family violence and the suspect is known to the victim. The identities of the victim and the suspect are not being released at this time due to an ongoing investigation.
