Clinton Man Sentenced For Illegal Sexual Contact In New London

William Boo III charged with sexual conduct with four-year-old girl last year

A 25-year-old Clinton man will serve eight years in prison for sexual conduct with a four-year-old girl.

William Boo III, of 20 Oak Ridge Drive, was sentenced in the on Friday. Judge Patrick J. Clifford ordered Boo to serve 20 years in prison, suspended after eight years, with 10 years of probation. Boo must also register as a sex offender during the probationary period.

According to a report by Officer Christopher D. Kramer of the , Boo’s girlfriend reported to police on Aug. 27 that the girl told her Boo had sexually touched her earlier in the day. During an interview with police, the girl said sexual assault also occurred.

The woman said Boo denied the conduct when she first confronted him, but that he later confessed to it and apologized. Boo also admitted to the incident during a police interview, saying he did not know why he behaved as he did and that he was glad the girl had told someone.

Boo was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and three counts of illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16. He pleaded guilty on May 25 to one count of the latter charges.

During probation, Boo must undergo sex offender counseling and treatment, have no contact with the girl, and have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18. The must approve any employment or residence and monitor his computer use.
