Sometimes it is said that if a man cannot be trusted with the finances of himself. Can he, then, be trusted with the finances of others?

As the city and school system budgets that were voted down in New London begin to make it through the process yet again keep the above quote in mind.

Ask yourself  can the people of New London accept or trust the budget from a man who on a salary in excess of $80,000.00 a year who cannot manage his own finances such to afford contact lenses even with a Cadillac medical plan that we people pay for!

Ask yourself  can the people of New London accept or trust the budget supported by  a man who elected to the city council that has defaulted on his American Express credit obligations and was sued by American Express? Ask yourself how could anyone on the city council vote to pass a budget that is not completely transparent to the council and the public? If everything is not clear a no vote is the only choice.
