Taxation without representation

Taxation with out representation. I know this is something you learned about in grade school but I just wanted to bring up some similarities from the past. In the city of New London we have a Finance directer that will not do his job. He says he does not have information that the council needs to make the budget. He refuses to balance and reconcile our bank accounts for the auditor. When asked when he will finally reconcile the accounts he said maybe by Jan. 2014. Now we have the Mayor and the Council that will have to again make a budget blindly. By the way the bank accounts are supposed to be reconciled every month. Why should we pay taxes for invisible information. If when the audit is finally done and all the information is out there will the city pay the taxpayers back for over taxing us. This is a very simple example of taxation with out representation. The Mayor just wants you to pay the taxes without even knowing what the books really say. I don't want any of you going the Thames River and throwing your tea in it but maybe a few houses and a few cars would send a message.
