I think you need a poll for good news and then another for bad news.

Although I didn't write the poll, I kind of like the fact that the question is wide open. It's interesting to find out what people consider to be the "top" story. The answers may be good or bad news but their choices are revealing either way. That said, there's nothing that says you have to restrict yourself to one answer!

How about a poll asking what was the most unique story in Patch in 2011? It could be tailored to stories that the dailies or TV stations were unable to cover, that Patch covered in a unique way, or that Patch just covered in a more LOCAL way that other media outlets. Perhaps additional polls could be funniest, informational etc.

War in Iraq finally ends and our troops brought home.

Nice idea, Corey. We'd love to hear which stories you liked best!
