Community Corner

Do the parents in New London really care about their children getting an education?

How come the community is not up in arms about the New London Board of Education spending money budgeted for educating the children on jackets, bottled water and other non education related expenses? Why is it that the PATCH nor THE DAY care to expose these things widely in their publications? Parents attack the people that ask questions, petition the budget and look out for the children when that is exactly what the parents should be doing. The parents have their heads in the sand. These expenditures are outrageous at the very least. If the parents care they will act. If they fail to act the message is clear.
