The former tenants of the Masonic Street building, a building owned by the city, left because the city would not spend the money to install air conditioning? This was a loss of approximately $50,000.00 a year to the city. Now that they have moved out, and the Finance Department is the sole occupant, the Finance Director wants to spend $100,000.00 to upgrade and repair the building. This includes adding air conditioning.
