L+M Hosts Free Community Baby Shower

NEW LONDON – Expecting parents and new moms and dads from throughout the region are invited to a free Community Baby Shower Saturday, April 13, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. The event will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in Baker Auditorium, located just inside the main entrance at L+M Hospital at 365 Montauk Ave. A tour of L+M’s Labor and Delivery Unit will be part of the program. Other information and presentations will be available from doulas, yoga instructors, massage therapists, photographers and support groups. Attendees can also enter raffles and enjoy giveaways. “This is a great chance for expecting or new parents to gain access to a wide array of information on pregnancy, baby care, community resources and hospital programs – and it’s all conveniently located in one place at one time,” says Karen Stone, nurse manager of L+M’s Labor and Delivery Unit.
