The special training includes coordination by Jamie Nadeau, volunteer coordinator and certified Gentle Touch trainer. The focus of the program is gentle touch to hands and feet, as well as using guided imagery designed to relieve the stresses patients often face.

Volunteers will also be required to complete applicable volunteer registration and health testing and will be asked to make a minimum six-month commitment to this program. Upon the successful completion of their training, volunteers can be scheduled for days, evenings and weekend assignments, depending on availability.
