L+M Going for Pink Glove Dance Victory!

Help L+M win the national Pink Glove Dance competition!

There’s an election happening this year. And the results will have a far-reaching impact. There’s been much discussion and a great deal of hype surrounding this election. Who will the voters choose? Can we rally enough support to make a difference?

And, in this case, we aren’t talking about the race for president. No. We are talking about the race to be crowned champion of the national Pink Glove Dance competition.

Here at L+M, we are working hard to ‘get out the vote.’ We need your support!

More than 400 L+M staffers – including 16 breast cancer survivors – came together to create what we think is a fabulous video for the contest – all designed to increase breast cancer awareness.

What a celebration it was to bring this many employees together for such a great cause. And, now, to win the contest, we need your help.

The contest, sponsored by Medline, features entries from more than 260 groups nationwide. L+M is the only Connecticut hospital to enter.

If we win, first place earns $10,000; second earns $5,000 and third place earns $2,000. Any money earned will be donated directly to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation – a local organization who uses 100% of all funds raised for research.

How do we win, exactly? Well, that’s where you come in. The contest is decided by a voting system that is run through the social media platform Facebook. Therefore, in order to vote, you must have an active Facebook account. There’s no way around that.

Here’s how to support L+M on our quest to earn a spot in the top three!

  1. Go to www.pinkglovedance.com
  2. Select “start voting”
  3. About halfway down, there’s a drop down menu that says “select an organization.” Choose letters L – M and then search for the L+M Hospital entry (hint, it’s on the third row down on the left).
  4. Once there, click VOTE. It’ll ask you to log in via Facebook (this is totally safe and easy). Then, your vote is counted! Next, please “like” the video while there. This will show that you “like” it in your newsfeed and increase awareness.
  5. Next, please share this with as many family and friends you have on Facebook. That’s the key to us getting the word out and getting more votes!

Voting is open until November 2, and, like the ‘other election,’ this month, we believe that every vote counts!

Thanks so much for your support.

Does he live in the condo at the Harbor House? Does he rent it out? Is the house in Mansfield aRead More rental property? Does he think that just because he has a property in New London and may not truly reside in it, that he is a New London resident. I would be interested in hearing his spin on this.

You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people when they haveRead More Kathleen Mitchell looking out for them. This is just sickening how with all the evidence that Kathleen has provided that Jeff Smith is not suspended as of today. The arrogance of this entire administration is beyond belief. I want to know what the Mayor has to say about this and I also would like to hear from Macrino, Hyslop and Passero.
