Ruminations regarding proposed L + M Strike

I really don't understand why local media aren't all over this. The service given by this hospital to the community is underwhelming at best and may actually be a threat to consumer's health depending on what one is able to discern. I can say as a home health nurse that their referrals are abysmal but it may be a reflection of their discharge planners and how L+M handles their referrals for home health. I find most nurses I am dealing with at L+M to be hostile and uncooperative in giving information to me. They do not fax or submit current info and, GOD FORBID IF SOMEONE IS DISCHARGED ON A WEEKEND. I think the strike would be a good thing for the Community as the CEO doesn't care about the community. The nurses are hanging on and the support services have no inclination of helping.
