Pit Bull In Urgent Need Of Adoption By Sunday

New London Animal Control needs to find a new home for Percy by Sunday or he will be euthanized

New London Animal Control says it has not received any serious inquiries about a pit bull at its shelter and that the dog is in urgent need of adoption.

The shelter says Percy needs to be adopted by the end of the day on Sunday to avoid being euthanized, according to a post on Animal Control's Facebook page.

Percy is estimated to be 18 to 24 months old and is described as a sweet, short, and stocky. He weighs 50 to 55 pounds. Animal Control recommends that he be placed in a home without younger children, and says he could live with other dogs but should meet them first.

Anyone interested in adopting Percy should call Animal Control at 860-447-5231 or e-mail tkloiber@ci.new-london.ct.us
