Say "Boo" To the Flu In New London

Child and Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut, in collaboration with Ledge Light Health District, will hold a Halloween-themed flu clinic at Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School on November 5.

Child and Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut, in collaboration with Ledge Light Health District, will hold Halloween-themed ‘Say “Boo” to the Flu’ clinics at their school-based health centers in New London County.

An outbreak of influenza can be dangerous and scary, especially for kids.  As flu season approaches, a flu vaccine is the single best defense against influenza.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each year to protect against the flu virus.  Afraid of needles? Relax. Both injections and flu mist will be offered at the clinics.

Children with or without insurance may take advantage of this with no out-of-pocket costs. (If you have insurance, it may be billed.)
