2011 Corporate Team Games

The Corporate Team Games is an annual event for friends and supporters of the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Connecticut to enter company teams to compete in a “field day”. Company teams play fun and silly games, including Hotshots Basketball, Volleyball, Wacky Trivia, Whiffle Ball Homerun Derby, Nerf Football, Capture-the-Flag and the Goofy Obstacle Course, and enjoy live entertainment and a complimentary lunch. The event is pledge-driven, so every team should aim to raise $2,500 with the Ultimate Challenge of $5,000 + in pledges. Therefore, a team of 20 participants should aim to average $125 pledge per person.

If you care about kids and want to make a difference in the community, you're invited to participate. Teams of 10-20 participants can be employees only or a combination of employees with friends and family members.

To participate in the Corporate Team Games, follow these three easy steps:

3. Start raising money.

A successful 2011 Corporate Team Games event will enable us to enhance programming in our five core areas; increase Club membership at current sites; open new program sites at Pleasant Valley Elementary School and West Side Middle School in Groton, sites in New London and Norwich and other sites throughout New London County; and restore the programs closed during the economic downturn, including the program at Kolnaski Magnet School.

Our goal this  year is to raise at least $50,000, and we’re calling on you to help us achieve it. Regardless of your participation in the Corporate Team Games, support the  Boys & Girls Club by donating money to a participating team in the 2011 Corporate Team Games.
