Young People's Concert

The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra conducted by
Toshiyuki Shimada will present two Young People’s Concerts on Thursday, October

24th at the Garde Arts Center, one at 10 am and one at noon. In
attendance will be over 2,200 students from area schools including New London, Groton, Montville, and others. The
concerts are sponsored by a grant from the Community Foundation of Eastern
Connecticut; further funding from Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has kept the
ticket prices at a minimal $3 per head. The performance features: The Orchestra Loves a Parade with
several marches such as Stars and
Stripes Forever
interpreted in dance courtesy of the Eastern Connecticut
Ballet School.
