Winter Splendor at Studio 33

‘Winter Splendor’ features three female photographers; Elin
Dolle, Sally Perreten, and Sheila Wertheimer. Their work featuring local winter
scenes and winter in China unites in this show at Studio 33 Art and Frame
Gallery

Elin has had an interest in photography since childhood but
it has only been in the last 9 years that she has had the time to pursue it
more seriously. She is a member of the Essex Art Association, a member and
Elected Artist of the Mystic Art Center and is involved in two fine art groups.
Elin’s work has been juried into Our Natural
World, Exposures Images,
Hygienic Gallery, Mystic Art Center, the Essex Art
Association and Still Point Gallery. She has studied with Jay Dickman,
Katherine Carnow, Sylvia Plachy and Craig Stevens.

Sally is a harpist who has been seriously involved with
photography for ten years. She has studied with luminaries such as Gregory
Heisler, Sylvia Plachy and Peter Turnley. She exhibits in galleries in
Southeastern Connecticut and his images in private collections.

For the past thirty years, Sheila has used photography in
her work as Landscape Historian/Designer, but it was during the last ten years,
after visiting Japan, that she began to concentrate on travel and street
photography whenever she could find time to be away from her landscape
business. Each winter Sheila has traveled to Europe or Asia to join photography
workshops or travel with a friend photographing streets, markets, landscapes
and interesting gardens.

Show runs from March 4th through March 29th.
Opening reception is March 15th from 5:30-8. Light refreshments will
be served. All are welcome.
