Tea at the Huguenot House

In the 1920s, the Nathaniel Hempsted House at the corner of Jay and Hempstead was a popular tea house run by two local women.

Bring a friend on June 1 -- the house is now a museum -- and enjoy tea and refreshments. See some unusual teapots with collector Irma Streeter of Groton and slip back to the days of the Old Huguenot Book Shelf & Tea House.

Streeter's collection includes more than 200 teapots; she will be sharing some of her favorites.

Sponsored by the Hempsted Houses. Admission is $15, $10 for Connecticut Landmarks members. Reservations are required. Email hempsted@ctlandmarks.org or call 860-443-7949.
