Spirit Gallery Presents, "Undermining Banality"

New show coming to Spirit Gallery.

Spirit Gallery, located at 207 Bank Street, New London CT announces a new show for the fall called, "Undermining Banality". This is a collection of paintings by Sara Evers, an artist from Groton who currently works at Flats Tattoo. Sara says, "For me, my paintings and artwork have only two requirements: realism and texture. If I can take an image, replicate it as closely as I can and trick your eye into believing it was never more that just a photograph, I feel accomplished".

 "Undermining Banality" will open September 21st with an opening reception 6-8 p.m., and runs until November 16th. Sara Evers found her love for painting while being a Navy wife in South Carolina and began her tattoo apprenticeship when her husband was stationed in Groton.
