Tinker Post 128 the  American Legion will
host the Annual Awards Night Dinner on Saturday August 10th at the
Post Home  on York Avenue in Niantic. Local,
students, public safety personnel and legislators are among those who will be
recognized for their accomplishments and civic contributions.

 Honorees
include Firefighter Michael Nebelung, State Representative Ed Jutila, the East
Lyme Police Department and Niantic Legionnaire of the Year Ron Michaud . Youth
Champions sponsored by Post 128 include Connecticut State High School
Oratorical Contest Champion Kayla Giordano, and National Eagle Scout of the
Year Mark Chmielewski.  The recipients
exemplify the ideals of Americanism that is one of the founding principles of
The American Legion.
