MRC New Volunteer Orientation

Hurricanes, floods, disease outbreaks—when a public health
emergency strikes in New London County, who will pitch in to help the community
bounce back?



If you are interested in helping communities throughout New
London County prepare for and recover from natural disasters and disease
outbreaks, being a part of flu clinics and practice drills, or assisting with general
community health outreach, the Ledge Light Health District Medical Reserve
Corps (MRC) needs your help!



The MRC is a group of dedicated volunteers that provides
public health emergency response and health outreach within New London County.

Whether you are in the medical field or not, the MRC could
use your skills for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to
administrative duties, radio operation, interpretation/translation, logistics,
etc.



The MRC will be holding several orientations for new
volunteers at the Ledge Light Health District office at 216 Broad Street in New London on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday,
    August 13  from 10 a.m.-noon
  • Thursday,
    August 15 from 4 p.m-6 p.m.
  • Wednesday,
    August 21 from 10 a.m.-noon
  • Thursday,
    August 22 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
