Lost at Sea: Shipwrecks of the Ancient World

Join the recently arrived Director of the Lyman Allyn Art Museum, D. Samuel Quigley, and Dr. Robert Ballard in a festive celebration ofthe museum's newest exhibit, created in collaboration with the Ocean
Exploration Trust. “Lost at Sea: Shipwrecks of the Ancient World” explores
the fascinating discovery of ancient ships fallen victim to storms, pirates or
warfare, and what we can learn about the people who sailed them. Glassware,
tools, pottery and other beautifully preserved artifacts, along with stunning underwater
video of their discovery, are among the highlights of the exhibit.
