Land and Sea: featuring Lizbeth McGee and Susan B. Stafford

The show featuring work by
local artists Lizbeth McGee and Susan B. Stafford will run from September 4th
until the 30th. There will be a meet and greet with the artists on
September 15th from 1-3 pm.

A graduate of Rochester
Institute of Technology, Liz has been involved in creating for years. Her life
journey is a lot like painting watercolors. “The best quality about this medium,”
says Liz, “is its ability to surprise. And that is its truest parallel to life.
The greatest test is learning how to make something beautiful out of it.” Liz
captures the area’s soul in her soft, wispy watercolors.

A graduate of Pratt
Institute, Susan has also been involved in the arts for years. Moving with her
naval officer husband she traveled around, before settling back in the area to
their satisfaction. Teaching art and exhibiting locally Susan strives to
capture the heart of the area that captures visitors and locals alike in her
warm and congenial acrylics.

Studio 33 is located at 140 Bank Street in New London, Ct. The gallery is open from 9-5 on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Friday, 9-7 on Thursday and 10-3 on Saturday. Appointments are
available.
