"Gilding the Lily"

2nd annual, "Gilding the Lily" 

Spirit Gallery, located at 207 Bank Street, New London CT announces a two day showing of the 2nd Annual floral art show by Michael Dodd. "Gilidng the Lily" features artists from all over the Southeastern region of Connecticut. This year's roster of local floral designers includes; Michael Dodd, Jeane Laflamme, Deb Williams, Rose Sawicki, Emily Berry, Hope Case, Chris Hart, Jaime Hart, Lauren Sholes, Amanda Santerre, and Leah Van Ness. This is Southeastern Connecticut's only floral art show.  

2 days only! September 27th and 28th, 2013.  Hours are 12-8 both days. Admission is free.An Artist's Reception will be held Friday, Sept. 27th, from 5-8 pm.  Wine and cupcakes will be served.  

With its emphasis on floral artistry, "Gilding the Lily" showcases local florists of all experience and skill levels, the only challenge being to create something beautiful and unusual. Each designer approaches this in a different way, resulting in a widely varied, often surprising, and always beautiful translation of flowers into art.
