First Thursday Poetry: McKinley Winston

McKinley has written and produced two one man shows: “Living on the Edge” at the former Nat Horne Theatre on 42nd Street  in New York City and “Stop Lying, McKinley" at the Museum of Broadcasting in New York City and Palmer Auditorium at Connecticut College in New London.He has also written scripts for the New Orleans Riverwalk Players sponsored by the Rouse Corporation.McKinley has performed as a storyteller at the Children’s Museum in New York City and in many public schools in New York and Connecticut.  He specializes in multicultural stories that teach language. He recorded numerous television and radio commercials. He has also appeared on America’s Most Wanted.He has worked as a dialect coach at the American Place Theatre. He speaks fluent French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and German.
