"What Makes Someone Latin?: A Conversation about Latinidad"

A sociology lecture by Jennifer Rudolph. Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies. An interactive and highly audience-based conversation about Latin identity within a larger social framework of the U.S. ethno-racial structure, including experiences, ethnic labels and media/cultural productions as ways of defining/confining Latin identities. A short, non-obligatory reading on Latin identity will be available before the event via Moodle or from Prof. Rudolph. She may be contacted at jrudolph@conncoll.edu, 4 p.m., Katharine Blunt Coffee Grounds.
