Connecticut College Jazz Ensemble and Traditional Jazz Band Concert - "The Elegance of Ellington"

KL/Connecticut College, Neighbor

Directed by Gary Buttery, honoring the music of the great Duke Ellington.  The program's featured work is the Ellington/Billy Strayhorn version of Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite."  Also on the program are Ellington standards "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" and "It Don't Mean a Thing."  Tickets are $5; $3 seniors and students, 7 p.m., Evans Hall in Cummings Arts Center.
