Energize Norwich Kick Off

Unique Program Lowers Energy Bills by 40%

Energize Norwich, an
innovative energy efficiency partnership between Norwich Public Utilities,
Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA), Eastern Savings Bank,
CorePlus Federal Credit Union and non-profit SmartPower makes switching to natural gas from more expensive oil or propane easy, hassle free, and affordable.  Energize Norwich will hold an
informational kick off event
on September 19th at 5:30 pm at the East
Great Plains Fire Station, 488 New London Turnpike, Norwich.
Customers interested in conversion to natural
gas before
this winter can sign up on a “first come-first served” basis. Norwich
Public Utilities will be laying additional natural gas lines in many areas of
the city with the goal of helping homeowners convert to a less expensive fuel
source and lower energy bills.

Homeowners who want to take advantage of discounted pricing offered by
Energize Norwich’s three participating contractors will need to sign a contract
with NPU by November 18th. SmartPower is leading the outreach for “Energize
Norwich!” Information about the pre-selected contractors and the natural gas
conversion process can be found at www.energizenorwich.com.  The September 19th event at
the East Great Plains Fire Station is a great opportunity to learn more.
