Call for Art: Eugene O'Neill - Artists Interpret His Life & Work
Hygienic Art has issued a call to artists for a show that promises to be a “dynamo,” a “strange interlude” and, undoubtedly, a “long day’s journey” into art, drama, history, biography and community. The show is an open invitation to interpret – through art – the life and works of a former city resident who, also, happens to be America’s only Nobel Prize winning playwright.
The exhibition represents a unique collaboration between community artists, O’Neill enthusiasts, Hygienic Art, Connecticut College, and the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Specifically, the show has been timed to coincide with two significant events occurring this spring: the 50th Anniversary of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford and the Eugene O’Neill Society’s 9th International Conference coming to New London in June.
Work accepted May 22, 23 & 24 at Hygienic Galleries
$10 submission fee per piece
Up to 3 pieces per artist
