Community Corner

Art-Making for Educational Justice: A Gallery Opening

In December, Connecticut College college students, faculty from the College's Education Department and community members from Jennings Elementary School and New London Parent Advocates gathered together to make art in response to questions like:

  • What do you LOVE about LEARNING?
  • What would your DREAM SCHOOL look like?
  • Why do you care about PUBLIC EDUCATION?
  • What needs to CHANGE and WHY?
Since December, other participants have been adding their artworks, too.

Come see what community members have produced!

Education-related artwork will be on display at Expressiones (84 Bank Street, New London, CT) from Feb. 7-28.

An opening will be held Feb. 7 from 6-9pm. Members of public - all ages! - are welcome.
