The New London Patch Wants YOU!

The New London Patch has always welcomed your ideas, your comments, your events, your listings, your photos, your videos and your enthusiastic participation.

And now more than ever, we're hoping to hear from you, and we're planning on featuring your items on the site.

You all have ideas and opinions and passions. You all go places, do things, participate in the life of the town. Some of you share on Facebook - but that's a little tossed right now. Here, on the New London Patch, you can share with your neighbors, your local friends, your hometown.

If you want to be a blogger, send me an email and I'll get you set up! It's easy and it's fun.

If blogging isn't right for you, maybe you want to share photos of you, your family and your friends at events. You can upload them to the "Your Weekend" story right here on the page, or, during the week, to a story that touches on an event you attended.

Have great photos that don't seem to go with anything on the page? Email them to me and let's see how we can get them up on the New London Patch. My email is dirk.langeveld@patch.com.

Planning an event yourself? Look at the calendar in the center of the page, click on "Post your Event" and fill out the form. It's easy and it's free!

Maybe you have something to announce. Maybe your son just earned his first Cub Scout badge, or your grandmother had her 90th birthday. Maybe you got a promotion at work, or your flower arrangement earned an award.

Pull down in the blue bar under "News" to "Announcements." Then look to the upper right on the page, and click in the box that says "Announce it to everyone!"

Again, a form will come up. Fill it out, add a photo or two, and you're there.

Did you know that the New London Patch publishes letters to the editor? Just send me one, and I'll post it, and you'll start receiving comments.
