St. Mary School Liquidating Supplies And Equipment

New London school closed last year

A private Catholic school that closed its doors last year is liquidating its school supplies this weekend.

St. Mary School will hold a liquidation sale from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The sale is open to all residents and will accept cash or checks but not credit cards.

The school, part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Norwich, was founded in 1892 and served kindergarten through eighth grade. The diocese closed the school, which was running a $250,000 deficit, at the end of the 2012 school year. It also closed the 105-year-old St. Joseph School in Rockville.
