New London Main Street Puts Out Call For Parade Plaza Tree
Organization looking for donation for tree lighting ceremony at Celebration of Lights and Song
New London Main Street is looking for a tree donation for an annual downtown holiday celebration.
The tree would be placed at Parade Plaza for part of the Celebration of Lights and Song. This event is scheduled for Dec. 8 and culminates with a tree lighting ceremony.
The tree should be about 30 feet high and full all around. The Department of Public Works would cut down and remove the selected tree. Anyone who wishes to donate a tree should contact Tammy Daugherty at 860-447-5201 or tdaughterty@ci.new-london.ct.us.
