The National Weather Service is predicting a slurry of snow and rain on Saturday from two separate storm systems and has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for coastal New England.
The snow is forecast to start falling around 10 a.m. with a quick turn to rain, then perhaps more snow. A later burst of snow before midnight is not expected to yield significant accumulations. Total accumulation is forecast to be minimal.
Higher snowfall totals — up to 8 inches — are predicted for eastern New England.
