Gov. Dannel Malloy will stop in New London this morning as part of a continuing tour of Connecticut communities hammered by Hurricane Sandy.
Malloy will visit Osprey Beach at 11:30 a.m. The beach was one of several areas along the Thames River and Long Island Sound that was hard hit by the storm, with large waves washing sand and debris inland. A well-known bathhouse at Osprey Beach was washed away.
Malloy will also view damage in Stonington, Clinton, Westbrook, Madison, and Guilford. Malloy will return to Hartford to give a briefing on storm response at 4 p.m. from the State Emergency Operations Center in Hartford.
