Five things to know for February 19

1. It's a sunny day with a high temperature of 44 degrees. Sunrise is 6:39 a.m., sunset is 5:25 p.m.

2. That's pretty decent weather for the Penguin Plunge, which takes place today at Ocean Beach Park. Registration starts at 10 a.m., with the plunge beginning at noon. Some Patch folks will be there to show their support, and yours truly will be one of the hundreds of people taking a wintry dip. Look for the blue-skinned guy in a sodden green shirt.

3. St. James Episcopal Church shows the silent movie Sherlock, Jr. with an organ accompaniment tonight. The show starts at 7 p.m. and admission is $10.
