Daily Five: Burn Foundation Fundraiser

Five things to know for February 22

1. Predicted showers overnight should have dispersed by this morning, though it remains cloudy and there's a small chance of renewed light rain tonight. Sunrise is 6:35 a.m., sunset is 5:29 p.m.

2. The New London Fire Department is holding a fundraiser tonight for the Connecticut Burn Foundation. This starts at 6 p.m. at Stash’s Cafe. Bring $20 to get a prime rib or fish dinner served by members of the department.

3. The Board of Education’s Finance Committee has a meeting at 7 p.m. tonight to continue discussions on budget preparations for the 2012-2013 school year. This will take place at the lecture hall at the Science and Technology Magnet High School.
