Visitor Restrictions Lifted At Lawrence & Memorial Hospital

New London campus and other sites put restrictions into place due to flu concerns

Lawrence & Memorial Hospital has lifted the visitation restrictions it put into place last month.

The hospital had been limiting visits to immediate family and caregivers of patients due to concerns over an increase in influenza infections in New London County. The temporary restrictions went into effect at the New London campus as well as outpatient facilities in the region.

"We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Our goal is always the health of our patients," the hospital said on its Facebook page on Thursday. "With that in mind, if you are coughing, sneezing, dealing with a runny nose or have aches and pains, we still suggest that you considering delaying your visit until you feel better."
