Pizza for St. Patrick's Day? Yeah, seems a little odd.
Just in time for the weekend of leprechauns and shamrocks, The Day's Rick Koster sampled some of the area's corned beef offerings, including the Reuben pizza at in New London.
In his review, he shared his initial uneasy feelings, "Hmm. I'm not sure this is a good idea."
But, Koster explains, after trying the crispy crust topped with shredded corned beef, sauerkraut, horseradish, and both cream and mozzarella cheeses, both he and his friend "liked it immediately."
And, he says, "by the end, we REALLY liked it."
