Disappointing economic signs have again drawn the price of oil down amid European debt concerns and a disappointing American jobs report, according to CBS News; they also cite increased oil production and easing tensions with Iran as factors in the declining cost. In other oil industry news, the Washington Post reports that TransCanada is again seeking a presidential permit for the completion of the Keystone XL pipeline from Alberta to Port Authur, Tex. And Delta Air Lines is looking to save money on aviation fuel by starting up its own oil refinery, according to CNN.

The Connecticut average for a gallon of regular grade gasoline has dropped two cents since Monday to $4.05, while the national average fell a penny to $3.80, according to ConnecticutGasPrices.com. The cheapest reported price in the state as of Friday afternoon was $3.86, available at a Sam's Club in Newington.

The most economical options in New London stayed just shy of $4, with $3.95 being the most economical option. This is available at the on Broad Street and for cash payments at the across the street. The Williams Street , , and stations all bring their prices down to $3.99.

Groton prices start at $4.02 at the Gulf on Mitchell Street. This is followed by $4.05 at the Mobil on Route 12 and $4.09 at most other stations in the city. Waterford starts with $3.95 at BJ's but takes a bit of a leap after that, with $4.03 as the next lowest price at the Bestway and Hess stations on Boston Post Road.
