A New London restaurant is offering a free pizza to anyone who makes a donation toward the families of the students and faculty killed in Friday's shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.
Fox's Pizza Den, which is part of a Pennsylvania-based franchise, announced on its Facebook page on Saturday that the effort will run through Christmas. The restaurant will give away one medium pizza of the customer's choice per order in exchange for a donation. No minimum order is required, but the offer does not apply to delivery orders.
The restaurant received five donations over the weekend and is hoping to receive at least 500 donations by Christmas.
