The New London Mall has some space available after the boating supply store closes

The ghostly outline of the logo remains on the side of a building at the New London Mall, but you'll have to look elsewhere for your boating needs.

The store at 351 North Frontage Road supplied kayaks as well as a wide variety of gear for boating, including fish finders, navigation aids, clothing, and winterizers. West Marine, which got its start as a rope store in California in 1975, grew to become a national chain. The New London site opened in 2001. The store's presence has consolidated in southeastern Connecticut recently, as a flagship store has opened in Old Saybrook but the former locations there and in Clinton and New London have all shut down.

The now vacant store has a sizeable display area and would share space at the mall with stores such as Marshalls, , and . What do you think should move in?
