Last Lenten Season Fish Dinner and Organ Concert

Our final fish dinner and organ concert happens this evening:

The Lenten Season Fish Dinners end tonight with food served from 5 -6:30p.m. The menu this week: baked fish, rice with shrimp & scallops, coleslaw, homemade bread, pumpkin & apple pie. Tickets are available in the Parish Office for $9 in advance, $10 at the door, and $5 for children.

At 7:00 p.m. Joseph Ripka,  organist and choirmaster at Calvary Church in Stonington, CT will be featured at our last Lenten Organ Concert after the dinner and Adult Ed at 7 p'm.  Joe was the first prize winner of the 2008 Dublin International Organ Competition, the 2008 Fort Wayne National Organ Competition and the 2008 San Marino/Elizabeth Elftman National Organ Competition, and has earned national and international recognition as one of today's finest young organ talents.   Judging by the piece I've pasted below, this is going to be an incredible concert!

Finally, a big thanks to Beverly Driscoll and her crew for serving up some incredible meals every Wednesday in Lent!  Everything was wonderful and it was a real joy to see the fellowship it helped to create.

Hope to see you there...
