Arson Determined To Be Cause Of Moore Ave. Fire

A fire that seriously damaged a Moore Ave. residence last weekend was intentionally set, an investigation has determined.

Fire Inspector Vernon Skau said arson was the cause of the Saturday morning blaze, which caused significant damage to the house at 23 Moore Ave. The New London Fire Department rescued two men from the fire, but three cats died.

Skau said anyone with information on the fire should contact Connecticut's Arson Hotline at 1-800-842-7766. A reward of $2,500 will be given to the person who provides information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the person responsible for the fire.
