Save the Ocean Beach Osprey/light tower

Ocean Beach Osprey at Ocean Beach Park need your help to be saved.

Meeting: 9/4/12 Time: 6:15pm to 7:00pm.  Location: 181 State St, New London City Council Chambers.  Education Parks & Rec Committee. 

Purpose of this meeting:Take down the osprey/light tower in the parking lot at Ocean Beach Park and relocate the tower to the boardwalk for a clock tower.  

City Council Chambers..Public comment welcome..Please say leave the osprey/light tower alone. Save the Ocean Beach Osprey. 

 Save Ocean Beach should purchase a new tower for a clock tower.  

The osprey have come to nest at the Ocean Beach light tower for decades. 

 The osprey feel safe in this tower because of the height.  It would be nice to place a web-cam on the nest so many can enjoy the wonderful osprey.  

If the opsrey are important to you please come to the meeting on Tuesday 9/4
