This Weekend: "The Sleeping Beauty" and Diana Exhibition

Remember that nice, new 2012 calendar you got for Christmas? Yeah, well it’s time to dig it out from under the tree. Say goodbye to those clean white squares because there’s plenty going on this weekend. And, well, if you’re still without a calendar, at least you’ll be able to get one on sale now! So grab a pen and start scheduling—here’s what’s going on this weekend:

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Garde Arts Center.

WHY GO: OK guys, remember that time your gal begged to go to the ballet?

PRICING: Tickets are $30 each.

WHERE/WHEN: The exhibit wraps up its stay at Foxwoods on Friday, Jan. 15.

WHY GO: When else will you be able to see Diana’s royal wedding gown and home movies?

PRICING: Exhibit admission is $25 per person. Additional packages are available.

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Crystal Mall.

WHY GO: You know you’ll be at the mall finishing up your holiday returns, so stop by the rally and send some of your favorite cookies to the service men and women around the world!

PRICING: Cookies are $4 per box.

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Mystic Seaport.

WHY GO: If you love going to the annual Sea Music Festival, you’d better head to the Seaport’s fundraiser.

PRICING: Admission is free, but a donation of $15 per person is suggested. Proceeds will support the 33rd-annual Sea Music Festival.

WHERE/WHEN: The week of specials kicks off on Sunday and runs through Friday.

WHY GO: One word—yum.

PRICING: Pricing varies. Some restaurants will offer a prix fixe menu, others will discount regular offerings.

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday at 3 p.m. at the .

WHY GO: Andy Sherwood’s Dixieland Jazz Quartet, featuring guitarist Doug Maher, will perform.

PRICING: No entrance fee. And no alcohol, please.

: Drop off your donations on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the .

: Stop by on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday for all your home-related needs.  

: Both authors will be at on Saturday at 1 p.m.
