A good evening closer for all you history buffs out there. This new episode examines a poster with a clenched fist that refers to police as pigs, a mouth and chin woodcarving that may have been part of an Andrew Jackson figurehead for the USS Constitution, and a basket that may have a connection to a woman honored by Congress for her part in the Modoc Indian War.

I Escaped: Real Prison Breaks, 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., Investigation Discovery

I find it distressing that there are enough of these to make a series, and with back-to-back new episodes no less. The stories on these installments include an anti-abortion advocate getting away and wreaking havoc at clinics, a convicted killer escaping an Oregon penitentiary, and a woman hijacking a helicopter to get her lover out of jail.

Drug Kingpin Hippos, 11 p.m., Animal Planet

Most inappropriate children’s game ever.
