THE ART OF Bernard McTigue
Solo Exhibition Opens Friday, June 1st
THE GALLERY AT FIREHOUSE SQUARE is thrilled to announce a solo exhibition featuring local artist Bernard McTigue. Bernie's solo exhibition is a result of his participation in the recent, "John Stobart Fellowship award Winners: 1989-2011" exhibition, in which his portrait, "Artist at rtest" was awarded First Place by John Stobart.
Bernie McTigue earned a BFA in Painting at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Art in 1997. He has displayed his work in various art shows throughout Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania, receiving several awards. He is an Elected member of the Connecticut Plein Air Painters Society (CPAPS), and the Lyme Art Association. Having grown up on the Connecticut shore, he paints what he loves: the coastline and marshes where he spent many hours of his youth.
