Opening Reception: New London Plein Air Competition and Art Sale

The Gallery at Firehouse Square is pleased to announce the 2012 New London Plein Air Competition and Art Sale. This event will run from July 6th – 8th, coinciding with OpSail 2012 CT and Sailfest. Scattered among the crowds and on local rooftops throughout the downtown area, these artists will be capturing scenes of New London and the visiting tall ships! 

An Opening Reception will be held at The Gallery at Firehouse Square, 239 Bank St, New London on Sunday, July 8th from 6-8 pm. Works created during the competition will be on display  – even if the paint hasn’t dried! First, second and third place cash prizes will be awarded and one entry will be chosen to appear on the cover of the 2013 Connecticut Boater’s Guide! Additionally, all works created during the event will be available for purchase.
