New London Community Orchestra Concert

The New London Community Orchestra will hold its June Celebration concert at 2 p.m.,  June 2, at the Harbour Towers Ballroom, 461 Bank St.  The music includes selections by Bach, Tchaikovsky,  Beethoven, Handel  and Couperin. The $5 suggested donation supports the orchestra’s Music City Strings program of free after-school music lessons.

The concert features two exceptional soloists and  highlights the region’s musical richness. Aymeric Dupré la Tour, a Juilliard trained musician, will play selections from Bach’s Concerto in D minor on a cherrywood harpsichord made by Stonington’s own Zuckermann Harpsichords.
