Chorus Auditions - Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus

The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus will begin their rehearsals on Wednesday, September 19, at 7:00 PM, in Leamy Hall on the Coast Guard Academy campus in New London, CT. Auditions will only be held by appointment on Wednesday, September 12, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in the same location. Please email President Sheri Pellerin at ecscpresident@gmail.com to schedule an audition. If auditioning, you may bring your own music, such as a hymn or other classical piece. Show music is not appropriate. Eighty auditioned volunteer singers, conducted by Mark Singleton, rehearse weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, September through April. The chorus will present their Annual Holiday Concert, this year entitled Winter Solstice, on Friday, December 21, 2012, at 7:30 PM at Harkness Chapel, Connecticut College, featuring Vivaldi’s Gloria, Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, and a traditional carol sing-along. In April, the group will perform with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra on stage at The Garde under the direction of Toshiyuki Shimada. This concert will feature opera selections from Wagner, Strauss and Verdi. For further information or for questions regarding auditions, please visit the ECSC website at www.easternconnecticutsymphonychorus.org.
